Recently, we compared Raspberry Pi, Allwinner and CuBox Linux hardware boards. Then, some folks from our open source community shared with us their experiences with Raspberry Pi and Makey Makey. There is much enthusiasm over turning ordinary items into new inventions and doing mundane tasks in completely new ways.

If you're like us, then you've heard of other Linux boards out there that offer some interesting ways to do just that. Share your stories with us in the comments below.

Allwinner is not a devboard, just the maker of a System On Chip (SOC) A10 and A13.

Thanks for clarifying that. We were trying to figure out a way to bundle all these different technologies together and "board" was the best thing we came up with. We figured that most users wouldn't understand SOC. So we went generic for simplicity. Hope that's OK for the purposes of this poll.

I have just started my next project using a Lophilo (lophilo.com) it has heaps of capability and flexibility - built in FGPA!

Where's the odroid-x board from http://www.hardkernel.com ?
That's what I've ordered as it seems to be quite a bit faster than R-Pi or Gooseberry
