Opensource.com

February was a solid month for Opensource.com with 547,663 page views and 322,326 unique visits. We had our best month in terms of page views per day, with an average of 19,538 views/day, and we were on pace to break a new monthly record if we had had a full 31-day month. We published 74 articles, including 12 posts during our Beginners to Open Source week and six articles for our SCALE 13X Speaker Interview Series.

Highlights

We had 62% of the content published on the site come from the open source community, continuing our trend of over 60% of our contributions from the community for the fourth month in a row. We had 25 new authors and 23 previous contributors (staff included) in February.

Our What is open source? page maintained the #1 position in organic search results and generated 19,191 page views.

For the thirteenth month in a row, the top article was Top 5 open source project management tools in 2014 written by one of our community moderators. It continues to get steady search traffic and was the most visited page on the site with more than 36,000 page views. We published a new version for top open source project management tools in 2015 that brought in almost 8,000 views.

Our community moderators contributed 14 articles this month (19% of our published content) as well of lots of great social media support and syndication efforts. We have 13 Community Moderators in the program.

Editor's Pick 6

It was great to see our SCALE 13X Speaker Interview Series bring in more than 18,000 page views. But we had lots of other amazing topics this month including DevOps, Blockly, Humanitarian FOSS, open hardware, and more. I've selected six articles from February that I think you'll enjoy.
