A rising freshman at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science, Derek is the youngest employee at Red Hat, working in the Corporate Strategy department. He has a background in both application development and systems administration, and is an active open source contributor and Arch Linux user. When offline, he can be found operating an amateur radio station, debating, reading science fiction or beatboxing as part of an Acapella group.
