I just started showing my wife how to get started with QGIS this afternoon. She works for a conservation nonprofit doing land acquisition, and dealing with porting ESRI licenses and getting access to what she needed with ArcGIS was a non-starter. Fortunately, QGIS could do literally everything she needed, and the documentation is excellent. Thanks to everyone volunteering with OSGeo projects to make the open source geospatial ecosystem stronger and more accessible than its proprietary alternative!
But would that work for allowing me to keep a mirrored copy of a repo hosted on GitHub that I don't own? That's really the use case I see this being helpful for in my workflow.
