June

Join Koha community members for their annual conference from 30 May to 4 June 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Whether you're just curious about Koha, or have been using it for many years to manage your library, come along and learn more about Koha, the world's first free and open source integrated library management system.

Over five days there are opportunities to learn about and contribute to Koha. The first three days include presentations, case studies and round tables. After a break in the middle for site seeing (optional), the hackfest is an opportunity to work together fixing bugs, planning and working on improvements, and sharing experiences. There are also plenty of opportunities to socialise.

Our host and organiser for 2016

The host and organiser for KohaCon16 is the Library & Information Centre at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the library for the largest academic institution in Greece.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Library recently replaced its legacy commercial ILS with Koha. Their new catalog went live in late September 2015 – it includes about 1 million records, 1.5 million items, and has over 45,000 active users (students, faculty members, administrative staff and external users).

About the conference

The annual Koha conference is a major event for the Koha community. It is held in a different continent each year, and attracts community members from around the world. Previous locations have included France, Texas (US), New Zealand, India, Scotland, Nevada (US), Argentina, and Nigeria.
