First of all, I want to thank Jason for giving me the opportunity to post here. I'm a big fan of OpenSource.com and the community that's brewing here. Hopefully this won't be the last time you hear from me.
I'm writing today to ask for your help. We began a Kickstarter fundraising campaign for NeighborGoods this morning. We've already raised over 10% of our goal which is really amazing! With your help, we'll have no trouble raising the full amount.
Since we launched 6 months ago,
NeighborGoods has quickly become the leading online community for local resource sharing. With NeighborGoods, neighbors can borrow, lend and rent anything from bicycles to camping gear to baby clothes in a safe and fun community. By working together to share resources, neighbors save money, live more sustainably and strengthen their local communities in the process.
We've learned a ton about sharing and about building a safe, trusting community for our members. With that in mind, we’re gearing up to launch NeighborGoods 2.0. NeighborGoods 2.0 is all about our new and improved groups feature. When members join and create groups, they feel safe sharing with people they know. Groups are the foundation for a trusted sharing community. With NeighborGoods 2.0, groups can save thousands of dollars by sharing resources they collectively own.
We're reaching out to our community to help support this substantial upgrade to NeighborGoods.
You can chip in here! All it takes is $10 to participate. As a thank you for your donation, you will be among the first to try out our new technology. You’ll be able to create your own private NeighborGoods 2.0 sharing group and let us know what you think of the upgrade.
