I have a Libre Office spreadsheet where I import my expenses as CSV files (downloaded from bank and credit cards) each month, then go through the expenses and assign a category to each one. The categories are automatically summed, giving me a budget vs. actuals look on a monthly basis, as well as calculating what percentage of my income is represented by wants, needs, and savings. As long as my needs are below 50% and savings are above 20% I'm happy and don't stress the details too much beyond that.

As I type this I'm streaming music from a Plex server running on a Raspberry Pi that lives in my living room.
