An interesting, if fairly heavyweight read. Having worked for large coporates in a a prior life I just cannot visualise this approach compared to the typical top-down / convened committee model.

Trying to pull people in to a decision making process feels unnatural if their typical role does not include this.

The real challenge is having a structure that empowers staff at all levels to be part of the process, as demonstrated by the companies in the book Freedom, inc.
