For ToDo and planning I use Emacs Org Mode. Great tool for planning and keeping track of my time for time reporting.
I run Ubuntu in WSL and then install emacs-nox there. I find it was the solution that worked best as I'm not (yet) allowed to run Linux at my workplace.
