Amanda ArnoldHanover Maryland
Amanda is a technical marketing manager with 15 years experience supporting the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. She works for Onyx Point, Inc. as Marketing and Communications Director for the System Integrity Management Platform (SIMP), and promotes DevOps workflow and open source solutions in US Government spaces. Amanda is passionate about metrics-driven marketing, diversity in computing fields, IT efficiencies, clean technical documentation, and detailed style guides. She speaks at colleges and universities on diversity and culture in computer science, and is an active member of the Onyx Point Women in Technology group. She is a member of the Open Source Initiative, a US Air Force veteran, and co-host of the Baltimore Puppet User Group. In 2017, she established National Free and Open Source Software Month in cooperation with Onyx Point Inc, to provide a marketing platform to increase awareness around the benefits of open source. In her free time, Amanda enjoys photography, home improvement projects, gardening, playing NES, and quality time with her husband and three children.
