I included the logging aspect of Elasticsearch in the log aggregation chapter. I also state in there that I disagree that a logging system can effectively process time-series data without a separate storage system. Influx gets the closest with their hybrid creation, but it can still produce edge cases due to its storage format and consistency.
This is focused on groups outside of engineering. I tend to believe most orgs don't need a separate performance engineering team as performance is the responsibility of the product team doing the development. There may be a team that specializes in performance and the knowledge transfer thereof, but they shouldn't be responsible for a product's performance.
