I currently handle the IT support for a large local business. Although I use Windows everyday, you will find I try to use Linux and open source software anytime I can. I use Linux at home on several RPI2 devices and computers. I dabble in audio still but IoT has become a passion of mine recently. I am currently studying for The Linux Foundation System Administrator certification.

When I am not working on computers or IoT devices, you will find me outside on my family farm. Yes, you heard right. I love spending time with my wife and children on the farm. They are the reason I do what I do everyday.

You can usually find mind on LinkedIn. Send me an email any time.

This story fits with, dare I say, all of us at one time or another. I can still hear my wife asking to move the laptops and desktops off the table so we can have some where to eat. Or make sure to pick up all the screws from the living room floor.(lol). Having a dedicated area just for diagnosing, repairing and just all around being able to set things on is a great thing. One thing I have added to my area are spare screw jars and spare parts drawers. All are clear so I can just glance to see what is what. I also try to keep computer related stuff on one bench and my other electronics stuff on my other bench. This way my hobbies don't get all mixed up and keeps things organized.

It's that kind of confidence that everyone needs to have. You recognized that something needed to be done and had the guts to say something about it. The results speak for themselves. Great article!
