Mauro Calvi is the founder of sQuidd.io, a user-sourced repository of boating points of interest and cruising information. A long-time technology executive and entrepreneur Mauro contributes to a number of openrsource initiatives including leading Chart Plotter and Navigation software OpenCPN, both as developer and evangelist.An avid sailor, Mauro has skippered and crewed in a number of transatlantic and pacific crossings. As a San Francisco Bay Area resident of 15 years, Mauro has been an active member of the San Francisco sailing community, competing in the J105 one-design class and in a number of traditional racing events, from single-handed Farallon Island races, to 'beer-can races'.
