Our staff like the Medial plugin, which fully integrates Medial Streaming Media with Moodle. Great for lesson capture and video assignments.
When your Moodle instance gets very big, I recommend admins look at moosh, the Moodle shell. Ours is so big, we can't upgrade it via gui (timeout) and moosh has got us out of several holes.
