Dr. Nicolas Suzor is a Research Fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation and a Lecturer in the Law School at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. His current research examines commons-based models for the production of cultural goods, including collective-action open access models, free and open source software, creative commons, and crowdfunding. Nic teaches intellectual property, internet law, constitutional law, open content licensing, and jurisprudence in the law school’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Nic has published broadly in copyright and technology law issues, including graduated response schemes, parody and satire in copyright, legal issues associated with free software, and the legitimate governance of virtual communities.
