Thank you for your comment and I apologize for the delay. Indeed, I think frequent 1:1s are important. In some cases, 1:1s will lead you to identify potential issues and work together to correct them. In some cases, I find, you may also mutually discover that a person isn't in the right role. In the specific examples I'm thinking of when writing this post, some of them could have been prevented and some of them I don't think could have been. Sometimes you discover that a person's talent and passion are not aligned with the role, which is a good thing to know. In other cases, 1:1 discussions lead you to better understand how to align someone's talents and passions with the role and organizational needs.
