I am curious how many people total are leaving and have left since all this started. I think this might need to be a poll on the site.

No question--openness is a spectrum, not a checkbox. The ultimate open tablet (or any device) would have both fully open hardware and software. As <a href="http://makezine.com/04/ownyourown/">Make:</a> says, "If you can't open it, you don't own it."
