I was fortunate to win an Arduino starter kit a couple of years ago from the nice people here at Opensource.
Since then I have been using the Arduino platform for a wide variety of projects with our group's PhD students, as well as some personal things :)
I am currently working on a photoelectric charge sampling system for a 1KHz rate few cycle femtosecond pulse laser experiment in one of our labs using an Arduino Zero and an external 24bit ADC.
I now make up my own AVR Arduino projects from bare chips as well, the whole process being quite easy (after the first time round the loop setting up anyhow).
So a big thank you to Opensource for getting me going with the Arduino platform.
