I had Win7 Enterprise at work and ClearCase didn't even work on it. Win 7 wouldn't even share with other versions of windows. I suggested they use and demonstrated Linux, Git, Gradle, and Jenkins as the dev environment and got laid off for my trouble. Yeah, you need at least one Windows box for Visual C++ versions of your product but unless you are writing thick clients Visual C++ is an anacronism.
