Thank you for addressing a major impediment to open source and open access movements: the Romantic figure of the singular, stable, self-contained author responsible for dreaming up creations in isolation and bestowing them upon the world when ready. That paragon of modernism not only haunts public imaginaries, but also underpins many of the legal appratuses that structure our lives—like copyright.
