An active duty NCO in the United States Army, Ben Heffron has been in the IT industry for over fifteen years. He loves to tinker with electronics, and has been an avid Linux user for four solid years, and has worked with Linux systems on and off since 1998. His personal projects include using ESP8266’s to automate various aspects of his house, as well as gather data into his Home Assistant setup. Combined with several RasperryPi systems configured around the house as security cameras, more sensors, and 433Mhz controllers, he has a basic grasp of electronic controllers and how to integrate them with one another to provide a holistic overview of his house.
Originally from upstate NY, Ben now lives in Virginia with his amazing wife and four boys.
