Good example of a standalone tag, also called a self-closing tag. FYI, self-closing tags put the slash at the end, like this: ‹br/›
Although with HTML 5, you no longer need the slash in self closing tags. For example ‹img› is another standalone tag, but in HTML 5 you don't need the trailing slash.
I had no idea you could do this! I've activated Compose mode in GNOME, and now I can type accented characters easily. Thanks!
