Yes, I quite like looking at these basic commands, the ones we take for granted. Sometimes they really *are* just basic one-trick commands, but sometimes they surprise you.
You're not wrong. I think one of the things that sold me on the Dvorak keyboard in the end was the ease with which ``ls`` could be typed (the "p;" keys on Qwerty).
