Shane T. Mueller is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Human Factors at Michigan Technological University. He is the originator and developer of the Psychology Experiment Building Language (PEBL; http://pebl.sf.net), an open-source tool for conducting behavioral experiments, and previously was a contributor to the Audacity open source audio recording tool. Along with developing software tools for psychology, his research involves studying memory, knowledge, expertise and decision making, in domains such as crossword puzzle play, wilderness search and rescue, and cultural contexts.
