Great concept however one is dealing with huge, slow-moving, bureaucratic organizations. The process can't change overnight.

Partnerships are key to success.

I have created innovative open source-based solutions at 2-5% the cost of commercial systems. However, budgets were cut so a cut to a small, efficient project nearly kills it but a large project can sustain it.

Great article!

In today's digital world, it is essential for kids to understand technology. Software impacts ALL aspects of our modern life. Learning to code at an early age will help children prepare for nearly any job in their ever-increasing digital future. Nearly everyone in fields as diverse as business, science, technology, and education will need some basic programming skills to really succeed.

BTW, I have been a strong supporter of kids and programming and contributed a monthly article about 10 years ago to Open Source Schools.
