No tool works for every use case. If Bash is so great, why does Fedora include ZSH in its repository?
If you start writing, you'll make friends with someone else who writes on similar topics. Then they'll invite you to join the conference blog team that they lead. There, you'll befriend the organization's community manager. Years later, she'll rope you into writing for a website. Which you will start doing more and more. So I guess it's like giving a mouse a cookie?
But over the last few years, I've come to realize that I identify as a writer much more than I ever did as a technical contributor. This is a welcome surprise.
