Great story. Schools often restrict classroom computers to the point where the learning tool becomes a brick. I applaud Westcliff's efforts to take a risk and return control to students.

Our school district is actively building a set of online courses for high school students. The Open Course Library will be another useful resource in support of these efforts. Google hosting is an advantage for our staff. Google Docs is wildly popular in K12 education and our teachers are already familiar with the format. Staff will appreciate the ability to open and utilize content directly in their Google Drive accounts.
