May 2014 saw Opensource.com bring in 359,506 page views and 202,811 unique visits. And, we changed the engine while the plane was flying, completing a successful migration to Drupal 7 on May 22. We hope you like the updated look and feel! Additionally, we published 17 featured articles during "Open Government Week" from May 12 to 23, and we launched a new resource answering: "What is Open Government?"

Rankings

May was a great month for our OpenStack content. OpenStack articles published in May yielded 25,717 page views while total OpenStack articles generated 34,294 page views. We published 12 articles about the OpenStack community (and a few of the Opensource.com team members enjoyed the OpenStack Summit in Atlanta in May).

Our "What is open source page?" maintained the #1 position in search results for "What is open source?" and generated 13,350 page views.

For the fifth month in a row, the top article was "Top 5 open source project management tools in 2014," written by one of the Opensource.com Community Moderators. The article continues to get steady search traffic and was the most visited page on the site. Our Community Moderators continue to be engaged volunteers and were active on social media (plus, in helping us test out the Drupal 7 site).
