Great comparison. I agree: educators could make smarter use of [open source] tech in their arts and cultural classes. If learn to be better with technology as a side-benefit, so much the better.

I just installed it on Linux and will try it out very soon. It looks great. I like PyGame, but it *is* showing its age, so this is a hugely welcome development.
