Great tip, thanks! I'm not adding it or changing the article, because I don't want to introduce too many complexities while introducing a new command. I'd like the reader to focus on the principle rather than maximum efficiency (which introduces complex syntax).

Good catch, thanks. You are correct; --jobs in fact limits how many parallel jobs are spawned (as mentioned later in the article), it doesn't affect the arg count.
