Drew, thanks for the comment.

The answer(s) to your question is both Yes and No.

Sometimes it's not what's being said, but how it's being delivered. All of these features are listed somewhere online, either in Kdenlive or in Frei0r docs or in the code itself, but I have yet to see them discussed concisely, from a working artist's viewpoint, in a way that makes relative sense.

I hope this list takes a bunch of features, regardless of what technology delivers them, and presents them in an easy-to-browse format, and maybe even gives some other artists out there some ideas for their next edit!

I edit text files within ownCloud all the time. Its embedded text editor is "functional": it's stable and it works, but it isn't the fanciest editor in the world, so it's more a Kwrite or Xedit experience than a Libre Office one. That works well for me, because I usually use it to author HTML or markdown.

It has no spreadsheet editor (maybe one exists as an ownCloud app; I have not looked).

So yes, you can edit within ownCloud, but depending on what you are looking for, your mileage may vary.

All in all, I wouldn't trade ownCloud for the world.
