Great! Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. I'll try to find out who I need to file a bug for that, and go file it.
Keep in mind that Kdenlive isn't exactly a lightweight app (nor is video a lightweight task) so either be nice to it, or make sure you have a mean computer.
And yes, I am still on Fedora 15. I tend not to update my production machines tooo often ;-)
Even so, this is all sounding familiar so I'm still hoping that the same fix applies.
