We set another new record in September on Opensource.com bringing in 426,888 page views and 236,208 unique visits. We published 78 articles including 14 featured articles during our Back to School with Open Source series.

Highlights

It was outstanding to see that 56% of the content published (44 articles) was contributed from the open source community.

For the ninth month in a row, the top article was Top 5 open source project management tools in 2014, written by one of our community moderators. It continues to get steady search traffic and was the most visited page on the site with almost 43,000 page views.

Rankings

Our "What is open source?" page maintained the #1 position in organic search results and generated 17,850 page views, up almost 5,000 from last month. (August: 12,979 page views)

The "What is OpenStack" landing page hit an all-time record receiving 7,877 views (August 6,790). The search rank for the "OpenStack" on Google in steady at the #3 position in organic results.

Our community moderators continue to be engaged volunteers and contributed 16 articles this month (20% of our published content) as well of lots of great social media support. Five articles written by our community moderators are in this month's top 10 posts.
