With 1,055,061 page views, Opensource.com set a new record in March and blew away our previous record of 823,899 page views set in January. Thank you to our amazing community of readers, contributors, and moderators for helping us reach this huge new milestone.
Last month we also announced our first Open Source Yearbook download, a project we started working on in August 2015, and the response has been huge. In its first month, the yearbook PDF was downloaded 3,571 times. We're currently ironing out details for the print edition, so stay tuned for updates.
We published 98 articles in March, including 5 articles in our Diversity in Open Source series. We also launched a new column, Coffee Shop DevOps, by Jen Kreiger.
We welcomed 16 new authors, and our great group of community moderators contributed 31 articles (32% of our total content). Also in March, Opensource.com ranked #1 in Onalytica's Open Source: Top 100 Influencers and Brands list. Several of our editors, moderators, and writers also made the list, including: Chris Aniszczyk, Robin Muilwijk, Don Watkins, Jono Bacon, Jim Whitehurst, Phil Shapiro, Jason Hibbets, and Ben Nuttall.
In March, our Open Organization channel continued its conversation about the role open values are playing in the future of management and leadership. Our community especially enjoyed Bryan Behrenshausen's interview with the folks at Buffer, Jim Whitehurst's thoughts on the essence of open leadership, and Philip Foster's review of David Burkus' new book, Under New Management. The community also hosted its monthly #OpenOrgChat Twitter chat on March 17—see the recap if you missed it.
